I know you are busy. I know you put others first. May I suggest that it’s your turn now?

Welcome! I am glad you’re here.

I’m Heather Blondin, DO.

I am a board-certified psychiatrist.

Have you been concerned about your mental health? Are you experiencing troublesome symptoms like depression, anxiety, poor sleep, or burnout? Have you been putting these issues aside while continuing on with your busy life, hoping they will resolve on their own? Let’s chat!

What drew me to psychiatry is the ability to connect with others. I enjoy getting to know my patients as unique individuals. I believe in spending time with my patients, making you feel heard, and providing a space to reflect on progress made.

I am passionate about creating a safe space for motivated individuals to explore their mental health symptoms and concerns. Together, we can develop a tailored treatment plan that fits your unique goals, experiences, needs, and preferences. As a board-certified psychiatrist, I am able to offer a range of treatment modalities to support your well-being.

Treatment plans may include some or all of the following:

  • Evaluation and diagnosis of mental health condition(s)

  • Medication prescription and management

  • Brief psychotherapeutic interventions

  • Ongoing supportive psychotherapy

  • Lifestyle modifications (nutrition, sleep hygiene, movement)

  • Incorporation of mindfulness practices

  • Goal-setting and accountability

  • Referral to other community resources for additional support

I am currently licensed and able to provide services via telehealth to patients residing in the following states: Nevada, California, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina, Michigan, and Virginia.

I believe that:

-Mental health care should be accessible and affordable for everyone.

-People are dynamic and capable of change.

-Being diagnosed with a mental health condition does not make someone “bad“, “lazy”, or “weak.”

-Creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel comfortable being yourself is essential in my role as a psychiatrist.

-Taking the time to get to know my patients helps me provide the best possible treatment recommendations.

-Medication is one tool among many for treating mental health conditions, and there are alternative options if you're not interested in medication.

-My role is to educate you about the treatment options I believe could help you, not to "tell you what to do."

-Empowering people to take an active role in their mental health treatment supports lasting change.
